Top SchoolAlbert Wang is a seasoned software engineer with 11 years of experience building scalable mobile and backend systems from startups to large tech firms in Mountain View. He has led engineering efforts at Brave (saving the company over $100k/month through an API redesign) and driven product improvements at Google Maps, including experiments that significantly increased location-sharing usage. His background spans Android, backend performance tuning, and platform-level work on Amazon's Fire OS, reflecting a blend of product-minded engineering and systems-level optimization. At Brave he also championed metric-driven decisions and hiring, and contributed Android UI fixes to the high-profile Brave browser project. Known for reducing operational load through process changes (triage tooling at Google) and fixing costly backend locking issues at Soothe, he pairs hands-on coding with pragmatic leadership. Based in Mountain View, he brings an uncommon mix of mobile UI polish, backend cost-savings, and measurable product impact.
