Summary
👤
SeniorAlberto Nicoletti is a Senior Software Engineer with 11 years of experience, currently shaping web products at Musixmatch after progressing through multiple engineering roles there. He holds an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Bologna and brings a rare blend of full-stack web expertise and low-level systems experience, from TypeScript/React-like stacks to C-based systems programming. Deeply interested in programming languages and paradigms, he has explored and applied functional languages such as OCaml, Haskell, Scala and Rust, which inform his design and code quality choices. His background includes founding a medtech startup that applied deep learning to medical imaging, exposing him to ML pipelines and real-world product constraints. Past roles include architecting a modern web client with TypeScript, Angular and RxJS, and community leadership as a Google Developers Group manager, showing both technical depth and community engagement. Based in Bologna, he combines academic rigor with practical shipping experience and a curiosity for language-driven solutions that improve long-term maintainability.
