Alejandro Cano is an R&D Electronics Engineer based in A Coruña with 10 years’ experience designing hardware and firmware for industrial power electronics and renewable energy systems. He leads end-to-end PCB and microcontroller development— from analog/digital schematic design and component selection to manufacturable PCB layouts, SMT/through-hole prototyping and field commissioning. At ELINSA he launched a new business line for replacement and custom PCBs and helped grow the R&D department by introducing new technologies and practical IoT/communication solutions. He also teaches LoRa/LoRaWAN to educators and vocational trainers, translating complex LPWAN concepts into hands-on projects and gateways. Constantly tinkering in the maker community, he combines formal engineering skills with a passion for open technologies and rapid prototyping that keeps his work both practical and forward-looking.
