Senior🎓
Top SchoolAlejandro Ortiz is a product-focused software engineer and designer with a decade of experience blending front-end development, UX sensibility, and research-driven product work. As Co-Founder of RunwayML and a former Research Resident at NYU ITP/Tisch, he bridges creative tools and machine learning workflows to make advanced tech accessible to creators. Based in New York, he brings both an advertiser’s visual storytelling background from Universidad del Pacífico and formal interactive media training from NYU to inform pragmatic, design-led engineering. Alejandro is equally comfortable sketching interfaces as shipping prototypes, with a track record of turning experimental research into usable product features. Notably, his career reflects a persistent focus on tooling for creative practice rather than purely technical infrastructure.
