Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolAleksandr Bochev is a Principal Software Engineer based in Berlin with 11 years of experience building and testing robust backend and full-stack systems across e-commerce and payments. He has progressed from hands-on system administration and QA automation to architecting PCI-DSS-compliant payment microservices and leading engineering efforts at Zalando and Daimler Mobility. Aleksandr blends deep practical knowledge of Kotlin/Java, Spring/Micronaut, Kafka and Kubernetes with a strong background in test automation and DevOps, having built test frameworks and CI/CD infrastructure earlier in his career. He’s comfortable operating across the stack—designing APIs, deploying on AWS EKS, and improving production reliability—while also mentoring teams and shaping QA best practices. An asset often overlooked is his long-term experience maintaining both infrastructure and application-level testing, giving him a rare end-to-end perspective on system health and observability.
