Aleksandr
Software Engineer
Saint Petersburg, Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation
Summary
👤
SeniorAleksandr Ilin is a founder and seasoned software engineer with 12 years of experience building full-stack systems, site reliability platforms, and controls software across startups and high-growth firms. He has held senior engineering roles at Tesla and AnchorFree and now leads ventures in aerospace and systems engineering as Co-Founder of Cloud 9 Aviation and Founder of Deep Space Cartel. Aleksandr combines hands-on delivery—from PHP-era web stacks to staff-level engineering at Tesla—with leadership in developer experience and safety-critical controls. Based in Irvine, he pairs a formal computing background from Moscow Technological Institute and Saint Petersburg aerospace studies with a penchant for playful, outsider creativity (his public bios hint at a wry, unorthodox approach to engineering). Colleagues would describe him as a pragmatic builder who moves between product, infrastructure, and hardware-software integration with equal comfort.
