Top SchoolAleksandr Kolychev is a Senior Software Engineer based in Tokyo with about a decade of experience designing and delivering high-performance Java back-end systems and cloud-native microservices. He has driven projects that migrated live users to new platforms, cut TB-scale reporting times from hours to under 30 seconds, and implemented core services for distributed face/voice recognition. Aleksandr has led end-to-end development for real-world products including a hotel self-check-in kiosk and a telecom microservice platform, blending systems design with hands-on integration work. Currently at PayPay after senior backend roles at Vigo and To The Moon Mobile, he combines deep academic training in systems analysis and AI with practical experience shipping production-critical systems. An engineer who prefers solving hard data and latency challenges, he’s comfortable moving between architecture, implementation, and operational rollout.
