👤
SeniorAleksey O is a software engineer and data scientist with a decade of experience building high-performance data pipelines, real-time processing systems, and analytic platforms, currently at Google in Sunnyvale. He holds an M.S. in Applied Mathematics and leverages deep mathematical training—numerical methods, stochastic processes, and numerical linear algebra—to design pragmatic, efficient solutions for computationally intensive models. Past roles include optimizing large Python/Pandas models to run orders of magnitude faster, architecting distributed evaluation and precompute systems with Hadoop and Spark, and building cluster-driven imaging pipelines in research settings. He is fluent across Python, Scala/Spark, C/C++, MATLAB and SQL, and has a track record of translating academic algorithms into production-ready code and performant infrastructure. Known for finding subtle mathematical and software bugs, he combines rigorous analytic reasoning with practical engineering to shrink runtimes and memory footprints. Based in Silicon Valley, he brings a researcher's depth and an implementer's focus to complex, data-heavy problems.
