Senior🎓
Top SchoolAlem Utemissov is an Engineering Manager based in Amsterdam with 8 years of experience building and leading high-performing iOS teams across fintech, media, and travel. He blends hands-on iOS architecture and best-practice implementation (MVVM+Router, multi-module apps) with people leadership—scaling teams, mentoring developers, and establishing effective working agreements. At Booking.com he led a 10-person team that delivered features driving €12M in annual revenue and reduced cancellations by 30,000 per year, demonstrating product-minded delivery at scale. He has deep familiarity with Apple HIG, design patterns, GraphQL migrations, and mobile-specific sensors (GPS, gyro, accelerometer) from earlier projects, which gives him a pragmatic edge when designing cross-cutting mobile solutions. Passionate about continuous learning, he often moves between hands-on coding and strategic team enablement to keep momentum on complex product initiatives.
