Senior🎓
Top SchoolAlessandro Lorenzi is a Senior Platform Engineer with 13 years of experience building and optimizing cloud-native infrastructure, currently leading AWS, Terraform and DevFinOps initiatives at Casavo. He combines a background as a Linux sysadmin and Red Hat instructor with hands-on platform and backend engineering to deliver pragmatic automation, resilient monitoring, and cost-aware architectures. Recently he led a consolidation that cut Kubernetes clusters from seven to two and implemented cost controls that reduced spend by 60%, while creating reusable Terraform modules that dramatically reduced support load. Alessandro is equally comfortable mentoring small teams and rolling up his sleeves to bridge infrastructure and application development, applying Agile practices to platform work. Based in Lombardy, he stays curious about emerging tech through conferences and experimentation, and often focuses on making complex systems more human-friendly.
