Summary
👤
SeniorAlex Bath is a Solutions Architect with 11 years of hands-on experience designing and delivering cloud-native, Java/Spring Boot microservice platforms across on-premise, AWS, Azure and GCP. He specialises in resilient, distributed data processing—leveraging Kafka, Akka, Hadoop, Spark, SQL and MongoDB—to build low-latency, multi-tenant systems that scale in production. Comfortable leading teams and driving DevOps practices, he combines architecture, CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code expertise (Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes) with practical coding in Java/Scala. Recent roles span enterprise domains from logistics and rental management to defence and financial services, showing an ability to adapt patterns to regulated environments. Based in Gloucester, UK, he blends systems-level thinking with pragmatic delivery—often embedding reactive and streaming patterns into legacy migration projects. An avid Kubernetes evangelist, he quietly focuses on plugin and partitioning strategies that make upgrades and scaling less risky for large product footprints.
