Top SchoolAlex Co is a Senior Machine Learning Engineering Manager based in Kuala Lumpur with 15+ years of experience building and scaling high-performance cloud platforms and engineering teams. He has a proven track record of driving cost-efficient infrastructure (e.g., 70% AWS cost reduction through spot/preemptible migration) and leading platform modernizations that boost performance and cut operational spend. At Mindvalley he delivered dramatic improvements—50% system performance gain, 30% lower ops cost, and an AI knowledge base with 50%+ weekly adoption—while managing and mentoring cross-functional teams. As a founder/CTO and early-stage engineering leader, he has repeatedly turned struggling products into revenue drivers and built engineering organizations from the ground up. He blends hands-on SRE and platform architecture expertise with product-minded leadership, favoring pragmatic automation, SLO-driven reliability, and progressive delivery practices. Outside obvious metrics, he consistently translates infrastructure work into measurable business outcomes and rapid time-to-market for new services.
