Top SchoolAlex De Sousa is a Senior Software Engineer with 12 years of experience building resilient backend systems, currently working at Sona and running his own consultancy focused on Elixir/Phoenix LiveView and product-led growth. He has founded startups and shipped production systems across domains—from real-time crypto miner monitoring and Forex trading integrations to document automation and mobile apps for environmental impact. A pragmatic polyglot, Alex pairs deep Elixir expertise with experience in C++, Python, Java, and Flutter, and has led small teams to deliver refactors, SCIM provisioning, and payment integrations. He’s quietly entrepreneurial, developing an AI SaaS tool while maintaining open-source work like the Yggdrasil pub/sub server, and is based in Barcelona where he blends hands-on engineering with product-minded problem solving.
