Senior🎓
Top SchoolAlex Gomes is an Android developer with 11 years in software engineering and seven years focused on building production Android apps using Kotlin, MVVM, RxAndroid and modern tooling like Hilt, Retrofit and Glide. He has repeatedly shipped consumer-facing features—live streaming, social integrations, analytics and offline caching—while improving and refactoring legacy codebases and championing TDD and code review practices. At Loblaw Digital and Clover he combined day-to-day hands-on UI/API work with mentorship and architecture decisions, and earlier roles show experience taking apps from ground-up design to deployment. Based in Oshawa, Ontario, he favors pragmatic clean-architecture patterns and measurable UX polish (Material design and meaningful animation), and he’s comfortable navigating both startup and enterprise SDLC processes. An avid practitioner who believes mastery comes from disciplined practice, he seeks challenging problems where performance, maintainability, and delightful user experience intersect.
