Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolAlex Guo is a software engineer with 11 years of industry experience who blends a formal CS education from Carnegie Mellon with hands-on development at Nutanix and a current unconventional focus in agriculture. At Nutanix he contributed to production software from 2015–2018, and since 2011 he’s balanced technical work with running a farming venture that reflects an interest in real-world systems and growth industries. He brings practical engineering discipline—comfortable shipping code quickly and iterating—to domains that span cloud software and operational agriculture. Alex’s background suggests a comfort with both low-level implementation details and the messy constraints of physical systems, making him adept at bridging software and operational needs. Colleagues would describe him as pragmatic, fast-moving, and unafraid to test unconventional workflows to get results.
