Top SchoolAlex Hayward is a Staff Software Developer in Test with a decade-plus track record delivering reliable QA and automation for enterprise SaaS, hybrid cloud, embedded, and smart-home products. He combines deep Java/Selenium UI automation and API testing expertise with hands-on manual testing across mobile, desktop, VUI/GUI, I18N and device firmware, having owned internationalization releases and shift-left practices at Amazon. Alex has driven test strategy and integration quality as a tech lead and Scrum Master, built automation frameworks, and scaled global test teams while mentoring and onboarding offshore engineers. Comfortable across CI/CD tooling, containers, cloud, and databases, he links pragmatic engineering with cross-team communication to unblock hardware and firmware production lines. Based in the Greater Seattle Area, he pairs certificates in test automation and web fundamentals with a practical bias for production-readiness and release gates. An often-understated strength is his ability to translate complex integration contracts into testable, automatable checkpoints that reduce business risk.
