Top SchoolAlex Hillegass is a software developer with a decade of hands-on experience building production automation, computer vision, and machine learning solutions across industry and aerospace research. A UCF computer science graduate (3.9 GPA), he has shipped enterprise .NET automation frameworks and OCR integrations at FIS, deployed data analysis tools for manufacturing, and contributed simulation and vision tooling as a NASA Swamp Works contractor. His background spans practical CI/CD incident fixes, leading small teams, and research-driven innovations—like API work that cut LIGGGHTS simulation labor by 300% and OpenCV pipelines for particle tracking in parabolic flight tests. Comfortable moving between MATLAB, Python, and .NET stacks, he combines rigorous academic foundations with pragmatic system-building and a knack for automating tedious analysis. Based in Orlando, he’s seeking a full-time role where his adaptability and cross-domain experience can accelerate delivery on challenging vision or automation projects.
