Top SchoolAlex Ishchenko is a Machine Learning Engineer with 9 years of experience building production-grade AI and data platforms, currently architecting large-scale search, RAG, and recommendation systems for a major travel company. He blends deep software engineering and MLOps expertise—PySpark/Databricks medallion architectures, Delta Lake/Iceberg, Airflow, MLflow—with hands-on LLM work including PEFT fine-tuning (LoRA/QLoRA), quantization, and inference engines like vLLM, TGI, and TEI. Alex has shipped hybrid semantic/vector search and enterprise RAG solutions using Azure AI Search and Elasticsearch, optimizing embeddings, reranking, and vector quantization to boost precision at scale. He also designs robust data governance, drift detection, and evaluation frameworks (LLM-as-a-judge) and has practical experience across multimodal workloads (CLIP) and time-series forecasting. Based in Calgary, he brings a rare combination of search engineering roots and modern LLM operational know-how, proven by projects that replaced costly commercial tooling and delivered measurable business savings.
