Senior🎓
Top SchoolAlex Kahn is a Staff Software Engineer in Chicago with 11 years of experience building data-driven, scalable systems and leading small, high-impact engineering teams. He blends hands-on coding in Python, SQL and multiple stacks with strategic planning around automated orchestration, hybrid data tiers, and event-driven services. Alex has moved prediction pipelines to production at scale—reducing deployment timelines from months to days—and deployed large NLP models while mentoring on ML system design and architecture. His background spans end-to-end data platforms, ETL/ELT, Kubernetes, Terraform and cloud warehouses, with deep operational experience in Airflow, dbt and Snowflake/BigQuery. He pairs an economist’s analytical instinct with practical engineering craft, often diving into math and economics to inform product decisions. Colleagues value his mix of high-level vision and attention to detail that turns ambiguous problems into reliable, auditable systems.
