He combines hands-on architecture and implementation—APIs, microservices, realtime features and DevOps—with team leadership, mentoring and hiring at companies like Jiffy and his own Ghost Octopus Inc. Alex is the creator of the #100DaysOfCode movement and runs Discomfort Academy, a newsletter with 7,000+ subscribers, reflecting his long-term commitment to teaching, habit formation and community building. Known for preferring clean, maintainable code over clever shortcuts, he also brings product-minded collaboration across design, analytics and mobile platforms.
