Summary
🤩
RockstarAlex Migutsky is a career strategist and seasoned software engineer with 13 years of experience building resilient, user-scale systems at Microsoft and GitHub and now advising senior engineers at consequential inflection points. He helped grow Microsoft To Do to tens of millions of users and architected its Outlook integration, then built resilience guardrails at GitHub that prevented platform-critical failures—work that underpins his practical, systems-aware approach to career advice. Combining product engineering chops across frontend and backend with formal coaching practices he introduced inside large orgs, Alex treats career decisions like performance coaching: diagnosis, pressure-tested choices, and execution under real constraints. He runs private advisory work and public frameworks under Metadevelopment, and also maintains hands-on open-source contributions, including tooling and static-site build improvements for community projects. Based in Berlin, he blends entrepreneurial experience from founding roles with deep technical leadership and a knack for translating organizational incentives into concrete career moves.
