Summary
🤩
RockstarAlex Norell is an infrastructure engineer with nine years of experience building and scaling cloud-native and embedded systems, currently focused on scaling computer vision infrastructure at Roboflow. He blends deep systems skills in C/C++ and Linux with modern infrastructure tooling—Python, Terraform/OpenTofu, Docker, serverless and Graviton-optimized stacks—to deliver reproducible, production-grade environments. Past roles at NVIDIA and Semiotic Labs show a track record of defining 100% IaC deployments, CI/CD automation, and observability for microservices and serverless platforms. He began in embedded firmware and hardware-adjacent roles, giving him an uncommon end-to-end perspective from device firmware to cloud services. Based in San Jose, he pairs pragmatic engineering with a hacker’s mindset—self-described as an award-winning hacker—and asks recruiters to “work pizza into your pitch,” hinting at a team-first, hands-on culture fit.
