Top SchoolAlex Ostrovsky is a consultant and software engineer with 15+ years in development and over a decade focused on capital markets trading systems, blending low-latency FIX-based trading experience with modern cloud BI and data pipelines. He has delivered production-grade ETL, CEP and OLAP engines, automated trade reporting and performance evaluation, and built self-service analytics surfaces using Tableau for market data both on-prem and in the cloud. Comfortable in Java, Python and HDF5/KDB workflows, Alex has a track record of improving connectivity and automating manual processes that reduced operational friction for front-office teams. He pairs hands-on implementation with practical QA automation—linking JIRA use cases to regression tests—and has been involved in productization efforts that led to an acquisition. Based in Old Toronto, he combines trading-floor responsiveness with a steady focus on empowering users to make sense of complex data and automate business processes.
