Top SchoolAlex Pretzlav is a seasoned software engineer with 19 years of experience, specializing in iOS development and mobile product leadership. Based in Oakland, he has driven client-side strategy and shipped major features at Twitter (including iOS tech lead for Tweet Composition and lead on Fleets and Periscope work) and now builds Creator Tools at Patreon. He’s comfortable as both an individual contributor and a leader, having been the sole iOS engineer at Silvercar and a staff engineer coordinating cross-team mobile efforts. His background spans startups to large platforms, with deep experience in performance tuning, Swift UI rewrites, and multimedia/video clients. An alumnus of UC Berkeley, he pairs pragmatic product focus with hands-on engineering—often preferring clear inbox rules, as his LinkedIn summary wryly notes.
