Top SchoolAlex Protyagov is a Lead Mobile Engineer based in Austin with over a decade of professional experience and two decades of overall tech involvement, specializing in native iOS and cross-platform backend systems. He’s led multi-disciplinary teams and offshore groups to deliver large-scale health and education products—shipping eight health apps with worldwide App Store presence and spearheading an Insights Cloud project that drove a 460% sales increase. Equally comfortable in Swift/SwiftUI and cloud-native backends, Alex has optimized infrastructure costs using AWS Graviton, built resilient data ingestion pipelines processing millions of records, and designed microservice gateways and API aggregators for smoother integrations. His work blends product-led thinking with rigorous engineering practices (TDD, SDLC, secure-by-design), and he’s repeatedly solved high-impact operational problems—from cutting mobile sync times to under a minute saving millions, to maintaining zero crash rates on award-winning apps. A pragmatic builder and interviewer who’s vetted 50+ hires, he pairs entrepreneurial instincts from co-founding a SaaS geospatial startup with enterprise experience across healthcare, events, and government systems. Colleagues describe him as a data-driven problem solver who prefers shipping pragmatic code fast—after a week of coding that often saves an hour of thought.
