Top SchoolAlex Rodrigues is a CEO and seasoned data engineering leader with 12 years of experience building large-scale, distributed systems and big-data platforms across Europe. He blends hands-on expertise in Hadoop ecosystems, NoSQL (Cassandra, HBase, Couchbase), JVM technologies and scripting languages (Ruby, Python, PHP) with product and technical leadership roles including CTO and Data Engineer positions. Alex has repeatedly designed cloud-native, fault-tolerant architectures—implementing Lambda pipelines, scalable media distribution, and high-traffic web systems—while also representing organizations internationally in engineering networks. A pragmatic TDD/BDD adopter and polyglot programmer, he pairs low-level systems knowledge (C++, Prolog, Scheme) with production deployment experience on AWS. Known for being self-driven and adaptable, he often operates as a "one-man army" across tech stacks, turning research-grade algorithms into production-ready pipelines.
