Senior🎓
Top SchoolAlex Sparrow is a founder and full-stack, data-centric software engineer with a decade of experience building scalable data platforms and production services from research to startup scale. After a PhD analysing CMS experiment data at CERN, he shifted to industry roles that blend distributed systems, data engineering and frontend robustness—leading migrations to Kubernetes, GraphQL client codegen, and tooling for large-scale simulations. He co-founded Quartic Technologies and now runs Scalar, helping organisations solve complex big-data engineering problems while freelancing through Sparrow Technologies. His background as a Palantir forward-deployed engineer and work on probabilistic graphical model products highlight a track record of turning messy, high-volume data into actionable systems. Based in London, he pairs deep technical fluency with hands-on leadership and a knack for shipping pragmatic, reusable platform components. An uncommon strength is his ability to move between low-level infrastructure and user-facing interfaces, making data workflows both scalable and usable.
