Senior🎓
Top SchoolAlex Treister is a fractional Chief People Officer and recruiting consultant with 10+ years scaling talent organizations across emerging tech—from early roles at Google to building Lyft’s Level 5 autonomous division and leading software recruiting at lidar startup Ouster. He specializes in launching new offices, globalizing programs, and building high-performing recruiting teams with a data-driven yet creative approach that balances operational efficiency and people effectiveness. Alex has repeatedly taken teams from zero to hundreds (Level 5: 0→250 in under two years) and scaled tech recruiting at pace, while managing cross-functional hiring for autonomous systems, data science, and product. Now focused on startups reshaping music and finance for independent artists, he splits time between hands-on recruiting leadership and advising companies as a fractional CPO. Less obvious: his career blends deep program design experience from campus ambassador and intern programs at Google with on-the-ground scaling experience that has even intersected with tech culture moments in film and high-profile founder networks.
