Top SchoolAlex Tzonkov is a Principal Member of Technical Staff with 11+ years of experience in chipset validation, firmware and software development, now driving PMTS software engineering at AMD from Folsom, CA. He combines deep hands-on expertise in post-silicon validation, power-management firmware, Linux device drivers and compiler-based validation frameworks with proven team and product leadership at Intel. Alex has repeatedly owned architecture and tooling—building CI/CD across multiple git repositories, leading Agile/SAFe transformations, and serving as product owner for C++ compiler-validation projects using LLVM. He is known for mentoring engineers, hiring and scaling validation teams, and for practical problem-solving that spans hardware signal debugging to system-level firmware.
