Senior🎓
Top SchoolAlex Vasiluta is a backend engineer with a decade of programming experience who combines competitive programming pedigree—including a 2020 ACSL silver medal—with practical product work building scalable systems. Currently at refurbed and the solo maintainer of kilonova.ro, he designs sandboxed judging infrastructure and contest features that reflect both security-minded engineering and a competitor’s attention to performance. A second-year Computer Science student at Eindhoven University of Technology, Alex rapidly learns new domains and applies cross-disciplinary curiosity—from geopolitics to economics—to inform pragmatic technical decisions. He has shipped backend services in startup and contractor settings, and his long-term commitment to his own competitive programming judge demonstrates an unusual blend of user-focused product thinking and deep implementation skill.
