Top SchoolAlexa Nunes is a Software Engineer based in New York with four years of full-stack experience building TypeScript/JavaScript applications and scalable serverless systems. She has shipped production React and Next.js frontends, Node/Express backends, and DynamoDB-based architectures that support real-time data streaming and ML integrations. At startups and open-source projects she has driven frontend architecture—introducing reusable component libraries, Redux Toolkit improvements, and increased TypeScript coverage—to speed development and reduce bugs. Alexa pairs practical engineering (SSR, Tailwind, Jest testing) with mentoring and curriculum design, having onboarded junior developers and authored learning challenges for large-audience platforms. Her background in theatre and early freelance web work gives her a user-focused design sensibility and an ability to communicate complex technical ideas clearly. Currently at iHeartMedia, she continues to blend product-minded frontend craftsmanship with backend reliability for interactive applications.
