Alexander Bluhm is a software developer with eight years of practical experience and a strong focus on low-level programming in C and C++, currently working as a Software Developer Intern at Clinical Reference Laboratory. He has applied his skills to maintain critical database systems on OpenVMS, taught himself DECset module management, and combines C, Python, Java, and SQL to deliver reliable solutions with a bias toward minimal, efficient designs. Passionate about making software "small and lite," he is self-taught in pure C and beginning Assembly projects, and enjoys hobbyist game programming that sharpens both algorithmic and systems thinking. Comfortable working autonomously and coordinating with teams, he brings hands-on machine familiarity from a lifetime around computers and a track record of solving practical operational problems. Based in Olathe, Kansas, Alexander pairs practical field experience—from operating and maintaining mechanical systems—to disciplined software craftsmanship, reflecting a pragmatic, get-things-done mindset.
This project requires SGDK in order to compile. This is a Sega Genesis Asteroids game that I have written in C. Anyone is free to use it and I hope that it helps you understand the hardware a bit better. Right now the project is unfinished but will be finished soon with all the bells and whistles and I hope to keep this version close to the arcade.
