Summary
👤
SeniorAlexander Brill is a seasoned freelance system developer and technology leader based in Oslo with 17 years of professional experience spanning backend engineering, system administration, and CTO roles. He cut his teeth on Linux and Python in the 1990s, co-founded a web shop in Kristiansund, and later helped build major news sites like DN.no while evangelizing agile practices. Comfortable both as a hands-on developer and as a strategic CTO, he has led engineering at startups and established firms (including Memolife, Orion Tours and DNK) and continues to run his own consultancy. His tooling philosophy—what he calls the "Mixed Martial Arts of development"—favors pragmatic, test-driven solutions that combine the best technologies for each problem. An early builder of distributed firewall services and a longtime advocate of lean teams, he brings deep operational knowledge alongside product-facing development.
