Alexander Cheprasov
London, England, United Kingdom
Summary
👤
SeniorAlexander Cheprasov is a senior software engineer based in London with over a decade of professional experience and a 20-year personal journey in software development. He specializes in full-stack JavaScript and TypeScript systems, building scalable web platforms with React, Node.js, Postgres and AWS while also having deep high-load backend experience from PHP-based systems. Alexander has repeatedly improved performance and refactored legacy code across consumer and fintech products, and he brings hands-on expertise in designing DB and workflow architectures for reliability and scale. He has coached and interviewed engineers, led internal tooling and process improvements, and presented on performance topics to engineering teams. Notably, his background spans both startups (including YC-backed autone) and large-scale social platforms (Badoo, Topface), giving him a pragmatic mix of rapid delivery and production-grade engineering. His unusual combination of a master's in criminal law and two decades of coding hints at disciplined analytical thinking applied to complex systems.
