Alexander Chernikov
Principal Software Engineer at Stealth
Dublin, Ireland
Summary
👤
SeniorAlexander Chernikov is a Principal Software Engineer based in Dublin with 13 years of deep expertise in networking and systems software, particularly FreeBSD, Linux, netmap, IPv6 and MPLS. He has built and optimized large-scale network infrastructure at Amazon, Facebook and Yandex and remains an active FreeBSD committer, blending production engineering with open-source stewardship. Known for low-level networking and routing software skills that span vendor environments (Cisco, Juniper) and high-performance I/O, he repeatedly bridges platform-level code to operational networks. Colleagues rely on him for solving thorny packet-processing and routing problems where protocol correctness meets carrier-scale performance.
