Top SchoolAlexander Chernikov is a Principal Engineer with 11+ years of experience building high-performance, large-scale backend systems and leading engineering organizations across fintech, e‑commerce, and logistics. He has a strong Golang background and a proven record of turning monoliths into resilient microservices, driving SLAs to 99.95% and tight latency targets (sub-70ms in anti-fraud decisioning). As a technical leader at Tinkoff, Yandex.Market, Yandex.Eats, Wildberries and OZON, he has repeatedly scaled teams (from single digits to hundreds), established architecture committees and shipped platform-level solutions that cut costs and time-to-market. He also blends hands-on engineering with teaching and outreach—speaking on Go courses and authoring articles for developer communities—while contributing to public coding profiles and competitive programming on LeetCode and StackOverflow. Notably, he led an ML-powered “Protect or Refund” initiative and built an IRIS-replacement MVP under strict SLA and latency constraints, demonstrating skill at delivering privacy-sensitive, production-grade security systems.
