Top SchoolAlexander Holbreich is an engineering manager and seasoned software architect with over a decade of hands-on experience designing cloud-native, event-driven platforms and leading cross-functional teams from startups to large enterprises. He has repeatedly driven migrations—from monoliths to microservices and to Kubernetes—established company-wide data, security and infrastructure competency centers, and introduced GitOps, Kafka, and modern DevOps practices. Comfortable both in the weeds (Java, Spring, Kafka, Auth0, AWS) and at the strategic level, he has built and scaled engineering organizations, hiring and mentoring dozens of engineers and shaping product-driven delivery. Notably, he blends product-minded architecture with operational rigor, having led platform certification and incident management efforts in safety-conscious environments. Based in Hamburg, he also runs a web agency, reflecting an entrepreneurial streak alongside corporate leadership.
