Top SchoolAlexander Klimetschek is a Principal Scientist at Adobe with over 13 years of experience architecting and shipping enterprise CMS and web frameworks, including foundational work on CQ5/AEM and a recent redesign of AEM Assets for cloud-native, scalable delivery. He combines deep systems-level expertise in JCR, Apache Jackrabbit and Sling with hands-on engineering across Java, NodeJS, C/C++ and graphics, and is an active committer at the Apache Software Foundation. A pragmatic advocate for DevOps, KISS design, and usability, he led the AEM team’s transition to cloud and DevOps practices while continuing to support complex customer PoCs and escalations. He also brings entrepreneurial experience as a co-founder and former chief architect of Mindquarry and early research background in 3D city modeling and geovisualization. Based in San Francisco with an HPI Potsdam master's in Software Systems Engineering, he blends product-grade architecture with practical open-source stewardship and a preference for lean, effective frameworks.
