Staff Software Engineer at Flipp
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Summary
👤
SeniorAlexander Lockshyn is a Staff Software Engineer based in Toronto with 16 years in software development and over 8 years leading engineering organizations up to 40 people across fintech, adtech, IoT, and access control domains. He blends hands-on full-stack and embedded development (Golang, Ruby, .NET, Node, Vue, native mobile) with architecture, API design, and SRE/DevOps practice—often owning infrastructure automation with Terraform/Ansible, Kubernetes/Nomad and Prometheus. As a founder and CTO he has shipped hybrid hardware+software IoT platforms, designing cloud‑native backends and embedded Linux appliances that communicate over MQTT and NATS. He’s equally comfortable formalizing product requirements and running delivery end-to-end, translating stakeholder needs into predictable roadmaps and risk-mitigated plans. Known for building cross-functional, distributed teams and improving engineering processes, he combines technical depth with practical people management to make teams productive and aligned. A practical polyglot engineer who still contributes code, he favors shipping resilient systems where hardware, cloud and user-facing products intersect.
