Top SchoolAlexander Mukhopad is a Senior Production Engineer with nine years of experience building and operating large-scale, reliable systems across cloud platforms (GCP, AWS) and Linux environments. He combines deep software skills in Java, C++, Go, Python and big data stacks (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) with hands-on production work—designing SLOs, end-to-end tracing, and alerting that materially reduced noise and surfaced hidden latency bottlenecks for AI developer workflows. At Meta he led capacity planning during datacenter moves and implemented orchestration and tracing solutions for non-Linux environments, boosting developer productivity. He has a proven track record of automation and runbook-driven on-call improvements that sped mitigation 2.5x and cut noisy alerts in half, and he brings practical experience running terabyte-scale Spark jobs on EMR and Kubernetes. Based in London, he pairs systems-level troubleshooting with a data-driven approach to prioritization and fair tenancy, often uncovering subtle production issues before they impact users.
