Top SchoolAlexander Novikov is a Principal Software Engineer with nearly a decade of commercial experience building high‑throughput backend systems, REST APIs, and data pipelines for companies like Harman, Yandex, and 1 OFD. He combines deep Java and SQL expertise with modern Scala, Akka and ZIO-based microservices, and has repeatedly driven performance and scalability improvements across databases and distributed services. His work spans the full lifecycle—from algorithm design and ETL to production deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, Spark and Hadoop—often in analytics- and media-focused domains. Comfortable leading teams and hands‑on development, he has a track record of architecting robust interservice communication (gRPC/REST) and optimizing DB designs for real-world load. An early VoIP and C++ background gives him uncommon protocol and low‑level networking insight that informs his cloud-native system design.
