Summary
👤
SeniorAlexander Ostrovsky is an iOS developer with 14 years in software engineering and a decade specialising in the Apple ecosystem, currently building a SwiftUI-based video streaming app from scratch in Tbilisi. He brings rare cross-domain experience—from low-level flight simulator control systems in C++ to fintech mobile products where he implemented trading indicators and shipped commercially successful apps. As a former Head of Product Engineering and Mobile Lead, he has scaled teams to 40+ engineers, created six feature teams, and instituted Scrum, planning and knowledge-sharing processes that improved delivery and technical debt management. He combines hands-on implementation (design systems, OpenAPI-driven model generation) with product-minded collaboration across PM, design, QA and backend teams. Known for moving projects from solo prototype to production and for a pragmatic, metrics-focused approach, he balances deep algorithmic roots with modern iOS architecture. The terse GitHub motto “Time’s running out” hints at a results-driven, deadline-oriented work style.
