Alexander Pugachev
Summary
👤
SeniorAlexander Pugachev is a Senior Data Analyst and Python developer with 13 years of experience building reliable, production-grade systems across finance, cloud platforms, and anti-fraud engineering. He has moved between high-scale environments—Stripe, Facebook, Bank of America and now Optum—delivering fraud-fighting rule engines, OpenStack/cloud tooling, and data-driven analytics solutions. Comfortable in polyglot stacks (Python, Ruby, Go, Java, Scala) and infrastructure-as-code (Puppet, Terraform, Kubernetes, AWS), he bridges data analysis and software engineering to turn complex operational needs into automated pipelines. His background in electronics and early hands-on work in cluster configuration and web scraping give him a systems-oriented approach to data problems. Based in Dublin, he repeatedly leads integrations between user teams and backend systems to ship pragmatic, auditable solutions. Notably, he pairs deep engineering craftsmanship with a track record of translating heuristics and operational insights into scalable anti-abuse and cloud services.
