Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolAlexander Sitnikov is a senior software engineer with 14 years of experience and 11 years focused on .NET and back-end systems, now contributing at Capital One from Virginia. He has a strong track record rebuilding and modernizing legacy platforms—from a 40-year tax application to large-scale betting and fintech APIs—using microservices, cloud, and TDD practices. Comfortable across C#, Java, TypeScript, PHP and cloud tooling (AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes), he blends hands-on engineering with occasional people leadership and client-facing delivery. Notably, he designed SQLite infrastructure and core view/print systems, and previously helped scale CCTV backend systems processing hundreds of thousands of cameras. Described on GitHub as a dreamer and inventor, he pairs pragmatic problem-solving with a curiosity for inventive engineering solutions.
