Alexander Thrysøe is a tenure-track researcher and plasma physicist at DTU with a decade of experience modeling fusion plasmas, developing scientific code, running HPC simulations, and supervising students within the world’s largest fusion collaboration. He holds a PhD in Plasma Physics and Fusion Energy and combines deep theoretical modeling with practical data analysis and outreach, regularly presenting to schools and the public. Alexander also keeps a curious eye on emerging tech—blockchain, machine learning, and IoT—to explore cross-disciplinary applications that could accelerate energy solutions. Based in Copenhagen, he contributes to institutional leadership as a board member in fusion and nuclear organizations, signaling a move from hands-on research toward shaping the field’s future.
