Summary
👤
SeniorAlexander Uchitel is a Sr. Staff Software Engineer and Lead Android Engineer based in San Francisco with nine years of professional experience building high-performance client and server systems. He combines hands-on mobile expertise—designing Android phone, tablet, and TV apps and a skinnable video player—with deep systems knowledge from projects in encryption, NT services, and high-throughput server components. Alexander has led remote and cross-functional teams through full product cycles, driving architecture decisions such as HTML-based app UIs reused across teams and a REST security protocol that reduced network round trips. He brings a strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization, paired with practical security and encryption experience applied to real products. Notably, he’s shipped solutions that range from Windows file/folder encryption and key management to consumer streaming clients, reflecting a rare blend of low-level systems design and modern mobile architecture.
