Top SchoolAlexandre Gomes is an Independent Software Engineer and founder with 16 years of experience building front-end-first web applications and scalable full-stack systems. Trained as an Electrical and Computer Engineer in Porto, he was an early contributor to JavaScript MVC ecosystems and has a history of improving developer-facing documentation and UX (notably contributing UI enhancements to Bitovi’s documentjs project). His work spans logistics, e-commerce, bioinformatics and startup products, combining hands-on React/Express and mobile front-end craft with a pragmatic, product-minded approach. As the creator of Feeling Buggy he uniquely combines technical practice with mental health advocacy, writing about the psychology of software development and burnout. Now operating on his own terms, he mentors, authors, and ships work that prioritizes both user experience and developer wellbeing.
