Alexandre Routier is a data scientist and medical imaging specialist with a Neuroscience PhD and a decade of hands-on experience building clinical-grade AI for oncology and neurodegeneration. Based in Paris, he co-leads Guerbet’s prostate cancer AI project, contributing to a Class IIa medical device and a PI-CAI–winning algorithm for clinically significant tumor detection. His background blends deep learning for segmentation, detection and QC of diffusion MRI with strong data curation skills across heterogeneous medical formats and databases. Previously he led development of Clinica, a reproducible neuroimaging platform at Inria, and has a track record of turning research tools into production-ready software. He routinely partners with radiologists and urologists to translate clinical feedback into product improvements and mentors interns across oncology projects. Notably, he combines rigorous mathematical training and GPU-optimized C++ experience from early deformable-shape work with modern PyTorch deep learning pipelines.
