Senior🎓
Top SchoolAlexandru Burlacu is an ML MLOps consultant with a decade of experience building end-to-end ML systems, leading teams, and scaling production workflows for NLP, CV and time-series problems. He combines hands-on model development (custom LLM-based systems, classification, NER) with infrastructure and tooling expertise—IaC, experiment tracking, Ray Serve and cost-efficient serving—to make ML initiatives reproducible and production-ready. As a former ClearML software lead and long-time consultant at Toptal, he improves developer experience and advises startups on lean MLOps practices that prioritize elasticity and supply-chain safety through open-source models. He has repeatedly reduced operational friction—shortening deploy times, establishing observability, and instituting code-review and agile processes—while mentoring junior engineers into productive contributors. Based in Chișinău and operating for Swiss clients, he blends research-grade experiment discipline (Optuna/MLFlow/Papermill) with pragmatic product prioritization across technical and non-technical stakeholders. An early founder and NGO organizer, he brings entrepreneurial grit and a knack for turning exploratory experiments into scalable production systems.
