Top SchoolAlexandru Iftimie is a senior software engineer and contractor with a decade of experience delivering production-grade computer vision, ML, and distributed systems solutions for film VFX, pharmaceuticals, and cloud platforms. He combines deep hands-on skills in PyTorch/TensorFlow, C++/OpenCL, and scalable AWS/Kubernetes infrastructures to cut processing times, reduce latency, and simplify complex deployment pipelines. Notable achievements include building real-time facial VFX tooling and Nuke integrations that saved teams tens of hours per month, and accelerating semantic data ingestion at Boehringer Ingelheim from hours to minutes while strengthening cross-account security. Comfortable across web stacks (Django/React) and infra-as-code (Terraform, GitHub Actions), he prioritizes reproducibility, maintainability, and pragmatic trade-offs that maximize stakeholder value. Based in Bucharest, he thrives in remote B2B engagements and is adept at translating complex technical trade-offs into clear decisions that unblock teams.
